Face the facts
Microcurrent technology is not new. Doctors have used it to treat Bell’s palsy since the 1980s. During these treatments, professionals noticed the face-lifting effect. Shortly after, microcurrent facials were popularised but could only be offered by professionals.
NuFACE founder Carol Cole specialized in microcurrent facials in the 1990s and early 2000s in California. She knew her clients would benefit from more frequent treatments and created a portable at-home device, launching NuFACE with her daughters in 2005.
